The Miss International Pageant is one of the world’s most prestigious international beauty pageants, founded in Japan in 1960. The competition brings together delegates from countries across the globe to promote cultural exchange, goodwill, leadership, and global understanding under the theme of “cheerfulness, elegance, and international understanding.” Each November, contestants travel to Japan for approximately two weeks of cultural experiences, appearances, rehearsals, and competition events leading up to the final pageant.

As part of the Miss Liberia Global Union organization, the Miss International Liberia titleholder earns the opportunity to represent Liberia on the international stage at the Miss International Pageant in Japan. The title serves as a platform to highlight Liberian beauty, culture, intelligence, and leadership globally.

In 2019, Naomi Nucia Glay, Miss Liberia US 2018  / Miss Liberia Georgia 2018, represented Liberia at the Miss International Pageant in Tokyo, Japan. While she did not capture the overall international crown, she made history by winning the continental title of Miss International Africa, bringing tremendous pride and recognition to Liberia and the organization.

Subsequent titleholders have continued the legacy of excellence, include current reigning queen, Miss International Liberia 2025-2026, Precious Lemu Flomo.
